Raging Tiger Golden; Demo Released

GONE GOLD posted on 8 JUL 2004 by Chris Abele

ProSim's new tank sim is set for release on August 16th.

Shrapnel Games announced late Thursday the completion of ProSim's new Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War (Origins 2004 coverage), the modern day tank sim based on the Armored Task Force (review) platform. The game, designed by Army veteran Curt D. Pangracs and developed by Patrick Proctor, is set during a hypothethical second Korean War, complete with accurate maps of the Korean peninsula, an improved enemy AI, a staggering level of detail and authenticity, and more. In an attempt to make the game more attractive to new players, Raging Tiger has also been designed with new browser-based briefings, improved game graphics, and independently-operating AI.

To mark today's announcement, ProSim has released a Raging Tiger game demo (22 MB) which includes two scenarios, one featuring Republic of Korea marines, and the other featuring coalition operations with ROK-US units fighting towards a single objective.

Raging Tiger: The Second Korean War is planned for release on August 16, with pre-ordering now available through Shrapnel Games' web store. The game is normally priced at $44.95, but a special pre-order rate of $39.95 is now available through Gamers Front. For more on the game, we recommend visiting the official web site, browsing through our collection of screenshots, or consulting our Origins 2004 coverage.
