Axis & Allies RTS Done
GONE GOLD posted on 8 OCT 2004 by Chris Abele
TimeGate's PC version of Axis & Allies will be in stores on November 2nd.
Publisher Atari announced on Friday afternoon Axis & Allies (E3 coverage) had gone gold. TimeGate's real-time strategy interpretation of the famed board game of the same name will offer a dynamic campaign mode featuring the most famous battles of World War II, an A.I. system based on TimeGate's experience developing the excellent Kohan series, and the ability to use special attributes of the leaders and famous figures from the war. In a nod to the original game, Axis & Allies also includes a turn-based mode similar in style to the board game (or even Rome: Total War), in which players are able to control their armies and develop their infrastructures. A single player demo was released earlier this week for Axis & Allies.
Axis & Allies will retail for $50 when it is released on November 2nd. For still more information on the game, please visit the official web site.
