Matrix Games and today announced that the latest game in the Tin Soldiers series, Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar has officially reached gold status. Developed by Koios Works, the turn based strategy title will be available for sale from the Matrix Games website within a week. Julius Caesar marks the second installment to the Tin Soldiers series. It is expected to bring many changes and improvements upon Matrix Games' already successful title, Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great. Some of the several major improvements include a full 3D camera and non-linear campaigns.
Here's what Matrix had to say about their latest release:
Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar adds a new look with a full 3D engine, allowing users to spin and zoom around the battlefield. It also sports a non-linear progression that is divided into two “chapters” of play, allowing much more flexibility in the strategy of where to strike next. Additionally improvements have been made to the AI and to the strategy behind the units. The Roman time period allows for the creation of Legion units, which are the backbone of your mighty army. Their extra power and maneuverability will be vital to defeating the enemies that would thwart Roman expansion. For more information please check the Matrix Games website or the Koios Works website.
