JUTLAND Released

IN STORES posted on 12 DEC 2008 by Jim Zabek

Storm Eagle Studios has announced that JUTLAND is now available.

After two years in development, Storm Eagle Studios has just announced that JUTLAND, the sequel to its 2006 Wargame of the Year, DISTANT GUNS, has been released and is available for immediate download and purchase.

A demo of the game is available for download, which features unlimited play of two scenarios, including the multiplayer feature. An additional 17 scenarios can be previewed and played for 10 minutes while using the Demo Edition. These include 3 Jutland Scenarios. The Demo Edition can up upgraded via purchase to either:

  • JUTLAND Standard Edition - 19 Stand Alone Scenarios (Including those in the demo)

    • 2 May 1916 North Sea Jutland Campaigns (with and without British Room 40 Intelligence)

  • JUTLAND Professional Edition - All the Standard Edition Scenarios & Campaign Games

    • 2 Complete Jan - Dec 1916 North Sea Fleet Operations Campaign (with and without British Room 40 Intelligence)
    • Battle Editor - Scenario battle creation of Fan Scenarios.

Created by the Award Winning Developers Norm Koger & Jim Rose, JUTLAND breaks new ground in the gaming series. By building on the engine used by DISTANT GUNS, the 3rd Generation installment of JUTLAND dramatically expands the boundaries of 20th Century Naval Warfare.

JUTLAND pushes the envelope of the real time 3D military simulations with the most realistic ballistics ever created in a commercial wargame. Every shell fired is physically introduced into the 3D battle space, where it follows a true-to-life trajectory all the way to the target. If the shell actually hits the target in the 3D world, the game then calculates whether penetrates the armor of the ship's hull, deck, or turret based on the thickness at the impact point.

Storm Eagle Studios has created an unprecedented 3D naval game environment, featuring hundreds of highly detailed, historically accurate 3D World War I battleships, cruisers, destroyers, and torpedo boats from the countries of Germany, England, and France.

JUTLAND packs all of the essential features you would expect from Norm Koger & Jim Rose, the team that brought you Award Winning games since 1988 including The Age of Rifles, West Front, Age of Sail, and The Operational Art of War, just to name a few!
